theimaginarybody is an award – winning theatre and film company. We are interested in creating theatre and film with a focus on playful visual styles, often using magical realism to stretch the boundaries between reality and fiction.

Food premiered at the Traverse Theatre during the 2006 Edinburgh Festival where it won a Fringe First award, received a string of four-star reviews and enjoyed a sell-out run. Following it’s UK tour in 2007, Food will tour internationally during 2008.

Our last show, 100 was a major success, winning a Fringe First Award in Edinburgh, before transferring to London and touring the world for two years.

Our films Mr. Thompson’s Carnation and The Last Client have won international awards and were screened at leading international film festivals.

We also offer a range of workshops including training for professional actors, educational theatre work and corporate training events.
